World Expo 2010 in Shanghai starts with Dutch culture
As an added
feature to the World Expo 2010
in Shanghai, the Netherlands
is coordinating a cultural programme that aims to link the Dutch and Chinese
arts 'worlds' by stimulating artistic dialogue between the two countries. The
Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has asked the Netherlands
China Arts Foundation to organise a series of events for the Chinese art-loving
audiences living in Shanghai
and its surroundings. The programme will be staged in the Dutch Culture Centre,
a recently renovated building called Show 800 in Jing-An District in
downtown Shanghai. will be held in a
Dutch Culture Centre (DCC) in downtown Shanghai.
The DCC will be an official part of the Expo 2010, in addition to the Netherlands
fascinating pavilion at the Expo site. The DCC will be open for six months from
March to August 2010.
