Leading the field in broadband
In 2008, the number of broadband connections per 100 inhabitants was greater in the Netherlands than in any other country except Denmark. Almost every household in the Netherlands can be reached by a cable or DSL connection. With the world's largest digital data distributor, the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX), the Netherlands also has an outstanding data connection network. This is essential for businesses such as banks and insurers, as well as Internet, computer and advertising companies.
