Productive employees
The working population in the Netherlands is highly educated, and a large percentage of working adults speak more than one foreign language. This high level of education and the strong economic structure, such as the physical and knowledge infrastructure, enable employees to be productive. Labour productivity per hour is among the highest in Europe. The Netherlands has succeeded in linking this to a high level of labour participation.
