Still not convinced by these examples of the economic power of the Netherlands? Maybe the facts and figures in Holland Compared will help. Holland Compared is a publication which accompanies Here’s Holland and compares various facts and figures about the Netherlands to the equivalent data for other countries. This comparison shows that the Netherlands is considered a nice place to live and that the Dutch workforce is extremely productive. As a result, the Netherlands is the third richest country in the European Union, not least because it has so much to offer foreign companies, including an excellent geographical location within the EU, an open and internationally oriented outlook, a well educated and flexible workforce (many of whom speak several languages) and excellent physical infrastructure.
